Taking the best elements of beloved dungeon-crawling classics like Dungeon Master and combining them with Undertale’s beloved witty dialogue, The Crazy Hyper-Dungeon Chronicles promises an experience packed with eccentric characters, perilous combat encounters, and a bucket load of secrets to uncover on the quest for the fabled Sacred Groowl.
Reimagining the dungeon-crawling formula for modern audiences whilst paying tribute to the genre’s roots, each expedition into the Hyper-Dungeon presents a unique challenge. Unpredictable enemies, hidden treasures, and environmental hazards are just a few of the obstacles that await!
The Crazy Hyper-Dungeon Chronicles’ turn-based combat introduces real-time elements that turn every encounter into a test of reflexes and timing. Rather than passively selecting moves from a menu, battles demand dungeoneers hit optimal zones on the Swing Meter to boost damage dealt or execute perfect parries. Success in combat will unlock progressive weapon upgrades and abilities, rewarding players who invest time mastering the system’s intricacies.
As the hero or heroine of your own story, you have the chance to build a character that can be tailored through extensive upgrade paths and an in-depth class system. Choose the goal-oriented Explorer who excels in stealth and solving puzzles, jump headfirst into the role of the Destroyer if you prefer to fight first and ask questions later, or become the pacifistic Resolver and use words, not fists and swords, to overcome dangerous encounters.
