Team up with friends and start a new life in a fantasy open-world filled with quests,
creatures, loot and loads more in this adorable RPG that has something for everyone
Seattle, Washington, September 8th 2020 – After a wildly successful Kickstarter campaign, independent game developer Kindred Games is incredibly proud to announce that its open-world RPG Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff is now on Steam Early Access. Offering adventurers complete freedom to forge their destiny, Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff has no classes, levels or restrictions. Players can choose to adventure alone or with friends, exploring the game’s expansive world without constraint as they discover everything from forgotten labyrinths to snowy peaks. Epic quests await players that seek them, each filled with monsters and forbidden treasure, or they can just choose to build a charming house and fill it with shiny trinkets. Whatever the player’s deepest desire, Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff is a relaxing adventure for all ages, centered firmly around the joy of discovery.
Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff’s adventure begins as players arrive into port in the beautiful open-world of Tirawyn; what happens after that is totally up to them. Intrepid souls can choose to take on quests, scale the highest peaks, slay monsters or hunt for hidden treasure. Those with a less adventurous spirit can keep their swords firmly sheathed and choose from a wide range of gentler activities, from tending the land to working as a blacksmith. Whatever players want to be, the world of Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff gives them the freedom to enjoy it.
Developer Kindred Games’ vision was to create an experience for players that is fueled by curiosity. This drive is what lies behind the magical and hand-crafted world of Tirawyn in Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff. The freeform sense of discovery is enthralling when played alone, but even better when enjoyed with friends. Multiplayer enables players to jump into their friend’s game at any point to party up and head out together on amazing adventures. Players can even take their houses with them and show off their collections.
Wanting a game that he could play together with his young family, Kindred Games founder, Michael Kocha, began Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff as a solo passion project. Now, after three years in development and an incredibly successful Kickstarter campaign that saw it smash through all of its stretch goals, the game is about to deliver an incredible new experience to players. Explorers will see the world expand significantly throughout Early Access with new creatures, areas, quests and more all being added regularly.
During Early Access, Kindred Games will be adding more to Tirawyn, creating a world of near-endless possibilities.
