Create an entirely new collectible experience with IRL’s Smart Collectibles and Assassin’s Creed
San Mateo, CA, USA – November 15, 2023: Integral Reality Labs (IRL) is excited to announce its partnership with Ubisoft and Assassin’s Creed®. Using its cutting-edge, proprietary, and patented technology, IRL will allow series fans to create unique Smart Collectibles™ of their favorite assassins. Assassin’s Creed® Mirage protagonist Basim Ibn Ishaq is the latest hero to join the collection, allowing fans to create exciting collectible experiences using the technology IRL has pioneered.
Basim, the new star of the critically acclaimed Assassin’s Creed® franchise, can now be completely customized by collectors in digital form and then 3D printed in physical form and suspended within an eye-catching transparent cube or unique slate design using the highest-quality 3D printing technology. From the fabric of his cloak to the leather of his boots, each aspect of Basim’s model has been faithfully adapted to stand not simply as a shelf-worthy piece for the proud gamer but as a tool of technology to inhabit the ‘digital soul’ of Basim unique to each Assassin’s Creed fan. Owners can choose from multiple outfits, weapons, and poses when selecting their Smart Collectibles™ before sending them to be forged as their personalized 3D collectibles.
Users can design their characters, selecting poses, outfits, and more. Through IRL’s proprietary 3D printing technology, the digital character is embedded into the smart collectible, creating a bond between the digital and physical worlds, and IRL ships the Smart Collectible directly to the user’s door. Once fans receive their collectibles, they can use the IRL Smart Collectible mobile app, offering many unique interactions that will give them a whole new experience.
Smart Collectible™ technology allows a physical item to be authenticated on the blockchain and carries data and other functionality to suit the needs of its user in IRL’s Smart Collectible mobile app on iOS and Android devices. The collectibles feature an embedded near-field communication (NFC) chip. Owners can view a digital version of the character within the mobile app and access additional features and utilities tied to the project. Through the Integrated Reality Platform, users can extend the utility of their investment into a physical, tangible object.
Ubisoft and the Assassin’s Creed® brand are among the partners whose iconic characters will be available as Smart Collectibles™ with Integral Reality Labs. This means users can also add fellow Assassin’s Creed® legends like Ezio Auditore and Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad to their Smart Collectible™ range.
