Ainz Ooal Gown and Albedo jump into the world of mobile hit game AFK Arena as part of its Halloween ‘Horror and Beauty from Another World’ event
October 29th 2020 – Lilith Games are excited to announce that Ainz Ooal Gown and Albedo from the popular KADOKAWA Overlord animated series will be joining the cast of mobile smash hit AFK Arena. The two Heroes will form part of this spooky season’s feature-packed ‘Horror and Beauty from Another World’ Halloween event and will be available for players to their squad from October 29th until November 30th via in-game purchase or they can be exchanged for in-game currency from December 22nd until December 28th.
Ainz Ooal Gown and Albedo land in Esperia (AFK Arena’s world) armed with incredible signature attacks and abilities to suit multiple playstyles. Ainz Ooal Gown, the world’s greatest magic caster, can deal massive damage to all enemy targets with a single attack using his ‘Fallen Down’ Ultimate ability. In addition to his Ultimate Ainz Ooal Gown is also equipped with ‘Steady Preparations’, a shield that he begins every battle with, that makes him immune to control abilities while granting him additional energy points, along with attack and defensive boosts. Albedo is a Succubus who can teleport herself into the midst of a cluster of enemies to deal a devastating dose of area of effect damage. She can also provide defensive boosts to her squad, with her ‘Black Guard’ ability she can shield the ally with the lowest amount of HP. Albedo will always prioritise Ainz if they are on the same team due to their special bond.
In addition to the two new Overlord anime characters, AFK Arena’s ‘Horror and Beauty from Another World’ event promises to be an incredible fan experience, packed with puzzles, valuable rewards and new maps for players to explore. During the spooky-season, players can take their Heroes on a Halloween-themed Voyage of Wonders to ‘The Realm of Denial’, a space between Esperia and the realm of the dead. Every year, a small opening forms in the Realm of Denial, allowing its wandering lost souls to leave for one night and return the land of the living. On this night, the Celestial Twins of Esperia, Lailah and Elijah, journey to this realm to help its lost spirits complete their unfinished business. Players will be able to enter The Realm of Denial from October 30th until November 12th. As part of the ‘Horror and Beauty from Another World’ event, Celestials Lailah and Elijah have also received their own ‘Tango D’ Anima’ Halloween-themed skins. Players can exchange their Circus Medals for the new skins in the Gift Cart Event or purchase directly, with a discount applied if bought before November 3rd.
The two stars of the Overlord animated series are the latest addition to AFK Arena’s continually expanding cast of characters that have been enjoyed by over fifty million players. They join fellow new Heroes Zaphrael and Lucretia, Ezio Auditore from Assassin’s Creed and Samurai Shodown’s Ukyo Tachibana in what has been a busy year for the game. AFK Arena also recently found a new barkeep at the tavern in the form of YouTube giant Markiplier and inspired a track from superstar DJ Don Diablo!
AFK Arena’s casual gameplay allows players to level up their Heroes and gain rewards while AFK (away from keyboard). The game was nominated for the Users’ Choice category for Google Play’s ‘Best of 2019’ and has since continued to grow with more characters, game modes and maps added all the time.
