We assisted Floppy Club with launching their world-music puzzle game Rytmos on Nintendo Switch, Steam, and mobile platforms!


Floppy Club entrusted us with raising the profile of Rytmos, a puzzle game inspired by world music, ahead of its launch onto PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile platforms.

We used the unique premise of Rytmos’ focus on world music to entice journalists during the launch phase, highlighting not only the strong puzzle-based aspects of Rytmos but also its role as an education tool for people to learn about new forms of music from across the globe.

We handled announcement and launch campaigns for the Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile versions of the game. Securing reviews for Rytmos in high-value outlets, including The GuardianEurogamerRock Paper Shotgun, and Game Informer.

What we did

  • Drafted a high-quality launch press release that clearly highlighted the key points of the game in an engaging way. 
  • Extensive research into building bespoke media lists with journalists and influencers that would be most interested in the game. 
  • Targeted websites with Metacritic and Opencritic registration, securing a positive overall review score on both sites.
  • Coordinated distribution of Steam and Switch keys in advance of launch day to high-value outlets, working to ensure reviews landed alongside the game’s release.

The Results

  • We secured 135 pieces of coverage. These were viewed more than 2.24M times by an audience of over 615m.
  • Accrued an overall Metacritic score of 80% and an Opencritic top critic average of 81%.
  •  3rd place on Eurogamer’s 2023 GOTY list
