Sword of Convallaria

XD enlisted us to launch Sword of Convallaria, a turn-based RPG featuring Final Fantasy XII composer Hitoshi Sakimoto, deep TRPG strategy and 120+ hours of gameplay.

Overview

We leveraged Sakimoto’s involvement as a key messaging point to highlight the talent behind the project and attract fans of Final Fantasy.

The campaign consisted of multiple phases, starting with a Steam Next Fest activation. We announced that the game would participate in the Next Fest in February, allowing media and influencers early access to the demo.

The day-one content created by those with early access significantly boosted visibility and player interest, resulting in Sword becoming one of the most-played games during the Next Fest week.

The launch was incredibly successful, garnering extensive coverage from top-tier gaming media, including reviews, lists, and guide content. After the launch, we celebrated the milestone of over 5 million downloads, solidifying Sword as a trending topic in game media and establishing it as a prominent title in the TRPG market.

The Results

  • Through all phases of the campaign, we tracked over 400 pieces of coverage, reaching an estimated audience of over 1 billion.
  • The campaign lasted for 9 months and yielded outstanding results, leaving us excited for the next adventure with Sword!
