Machine-learning powered tool now gives mobile game developers a visual reference of up to a possible 100 tags per game to quickly highlight essential features and visuals
Helsinki, October 29, 2020 — Mobile game insight and analytics specialist GameRefinery today announced that it has launched its new automated tagging system for over 100,000 iOS games across key Western markets including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. With 51 feature tags, 45 visual tags and genre tags the new automated tagging feature provides customers with crucial information for any mobile title that GameRefinery is tracking. The insight covers a multitude of game design areas including themes (e.g. zombies, sports, food/drink), moods & styles (e.g. cartoonish, serious, retro) and features such as guilds, PVP, gachas and more. Automated tagging is available now to all current GameRefinery customers at no extra cost.
Using its years of experience analysing the features of mobile games, GameRefinery has developed AI machine-learning models which are capable of evaluating what features and visual elements certain games have to a very high degree of accuracy. The combination of detail, accuracy and scale sets this new feature apart from anything else currently available on the mobile game analytics market.
“This latest automated tagging feature ensures that GameRefinery can provide its customers with even richer insight and data on a scale yet to be seen in the mobile games industry,” said Markus Råmark, Co-Founder and CEO at GameRefinery. “Our investment in machine-learning means that customers can now rapidly identify the key characteristics of over 100k games in the Western App Stores at a glance. We see this as just the beginning for automated tagging as we continue to add thousands more games and more territories in the coming months at no extra cost to our customers.
