Girls’ Frontline sequel saw over 5,000 players during its Closed Beta Test as part of December 3rd launch plans

Players returned to the world of Girls’ Frontline with Girls’ Frontline 2: Elixium to experience a snapshot of the next chapter in the 3D strategy RPGs story which goes live December 3rd

Shanghai, China, November 21, 2024 – Developer Sunborn Games is pleased to announce that the Closed Beta for its upcoming 3D strategy RPG Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium was a success. The exclusive invite-only beta test ran from November 10th to November 19th, providing key data and feedback from over 5,000 players on the sequel to the first Girls’ Frontline game, which spawned a multimedia franchise including anime adaptions and a manga.

Sunborn Games pulled the trigger on the Closed Beta Test as part of Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium’s launch preparations. The success of the Closed Beta has enabled Sunborn to launch on December 3rd 2024 for more Girls’ Frontline fans to enjoy its stunning visual experience using a distinctive Non-Photorealistic Rendering (NPR) art style based on Physically Based Rendering (PBR) technology. The Prologue CG & Gameplay Showcase displayed Exilium’s striking visuals.

In Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium, players will take on the role of the Commander once again, this time striking out on their own as a bounty hunter following the disbanding of the Griffin PMC from the first game. In a brand new story set 10 years after the events of Girls’ Frontline, players will lead their Tactical Dolls (T-Dolls) through contaminated zones as they battle enemies and overcome obstacles both seen and unseen while trying to reveal the truth behind a growing conspiracy.

T-Dolls are anime-styled personifications of real-world weapons, putting a unique twist on some of the most iconic firearms. These highly advanced androids fulfill certain roles in battle, such as dealing mobile burst damage, soaking up hits as tanks, and providing vital healing support to the rest of the team. Classed as Sentinel, Vanguard, Bulwark, and Support, there are many T-Dolls to collect and add to a growing personal army.

Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium includes a customizable 3D weapon system. Each firearm and melee weapon that can be equipped to a T-Doll has been meticulously recreated in full 3D form, viewable from any angle. Players can display their collection in the weapon gallery and add an extra touch of personalization with custom skins. This system, along with the 3D interactive Refitting Room and Dormitory, is powered by NPR technology, providing players with next-generation anime rendering.
