SEVENTEEN’s SEUNGKWAN releases a new OST, and fromis_9’s LEE NA GYUNG transforms into the title character Veda: Goddess of War in a new video leading up to April’s global launch
Seoul, South Korea, March 20th, 2024 – Publisher HYBE IM has announced its latest promotional activities for ASTRA: Knights of Veda in the lead-up to its Steam, iOS and Android launch on April 2nd. The game, being developed by FLINT, is currently open for pre-registration and has kept the over one million pre-registered players entertained with several exciting activities. The latest is a second musical collaboration with SEVENTEEN and a video collaboration with LEE NA GYUNG of fromis_9.
SEVENTEEN’s SEUNGKWAN becomes the latest member of the group to record a special OST for the game following HOSHI’s OST earlier this month. Titled ‘Lonely Stars’, the song features an acoustic guitar and a piano to create a beautiful melody alongside SEUNGKWAN’s vocals specially recorded in three different languages – Korean, Japanese, and English. ‘Lonely Stars’ will also be shared simultaneously on SEVENTEEN’s official YouTube and social media channels on its release at 18:00 KST.
In addition to audio, there is a new visual treat in the form of a promotional video starring LEE NA GYUNG from the girl group fromis_9. In this short film, the in-game world of Planis is brought to life as LEE NA GYUNG stars as the game’s titular character, the goddess Veda. An exclusive behind-the-scenes making-of video will be released on the official ASTRA: Knights of Veda YouTube channel on March 21, giving fans a never-before-seen look at NA GYUNG’s performance as Veda.
Developed by FLINT over six years, ASTRA: Knights of Veda provides a fresh take on classic beat ’em up and side-scrolling combat. Players can fight the forces of evil alone or raise the banners and gather other knights to rally behind the cause in team-based combat to rid Planis of undead hordes and monstrous beasts, finally freeing it from under the rule of the tyrannical King Magnus. With its dark yet enchanting art style, ASTRA: Knights of Veda emphasizes the story and immersion through over 1,800 high-quality cutscenes.
Showcased by HYBE at Gamescom in the summer of 2023, anticipation for the game has only grown, as marked by its ranking among Steam’s most-played games during its first global beta test in October 2023 and reaching over 1 million pre-registrations in less than a week.
ASTRA: Knights of Veda is available for pre-registration on the official website, Google Play, and the Apple App Store. Steam users can wishlist the game to be notified when the game launches on April 2. The ASTRA: Knights of Veda OST ‘Lonely Stars’ by SEVENTEEN’s SEUNGKWAN is now available on all major streaming platforms.
