G2A.COM releases 2025 Global Gaming Sales Report

28 January 2026 – G2A.COM has released its 2025 Video Game Sales & Regional Trends Report, which examines internal sales data from 15 major regions and questions the notion of a single global hit.

By analysing player purchasing behaviour across markets such as the USA, UK, Australia, France and Saudi Arabia, G2A.COM has identified a growing divide between evergreen global brands and local cultural preferences.Key Insights: The 2025 Regional Gaming Divide

  • The “Evergreen” Monopoly: Minecraft is the only title to reach the Top 10 in all 15 analysed regions. GTA V remains a staple in 11 of those regions, though it is absent from the Top 10 in Germany, the UK, France, and Italy.
  • National Pride vs. Global Giants: In the Czech Republic, global titan GTA V (#8) was significantly outperformed by local title Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, which took the #2 spot.
  • The “Beta as a Product” Shift: Our data shows that Early Access and Betas are no longer just “tests”—they are major commercial events. Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 betas outranked dozens of full AAA releases in countries like Australia, Germany, and the UK.
  • The New IP Breakout: ARC Raiders has successfully scaled across North America and Europe simultaneously, reaching the Top 2 in 9 different countries.
  • Cultural Playstyles: While football/soccer simulators (EA SPORTS FC) remain the “culture” of European gaming, survival and sandbox titles like Project Zomboid are the only other genre showing stable, cross-border growth outside of the major evergreen brands.
